QPES Ltd is looking for experienced Electrician in Shrewsbury to carry out 1st and 2nd fix electrical work on social housing properties.
We are looking for reliable, qualified electricians who can work independently, maintain a high standard of workmanship and work alongside our existing team.
There is ongoing work available for the right electricians, with trusted subcontractors receiving first refusal on future projects.
The Electrician Role
As an Electrician, your work will include:
- 1st fix electrical installations
- Cable runs and containment
- Installing back boxes
- Preparing electrical systems for final connections
- 2nd fix electrical installations
- Installing sockets and switches
- Lighting installations
- Final connections and terminations
- Working within occupied and unoccupied social housing properties
- Ensuring all electrical work complies with BS 7671 and 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Working efficiently to meet project deadlines
- Maintaining a professional standard when working in customers' homes
Electrician Requirements
To be considered, you must have:
- ECS Gold Card – Approved Electrician
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- NVQ Level 3 + AM2 or equivalent
- Previous social housing electrical experience
- Experience carrying out 1st and 2nd fix electrical work
- Own tools
- Own transport
- Ability to work independently
- Good standard of workmanship
- Reliability and good communication
