As a Recruitment Coordinator, you will manage end-to-end recruitment administration for a range of vacancies across NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT). Working closely with hiring managers and candidates, you will provide expert advice, coordinate recruitment activities and ensure every stage of the process runs smoothly and efficiently. You will play a key role in attracting and appointing talented people who help save and improve lives, while ensuring recruitment activities are compliant, customer-focused and delivered to a high standard. Act as the first point of contact for hiring managers, providing advice and guidance throughout the recruitment process.

Manage end-to-end recruitment administration for allocated vacancies, from approval through to appointment.

Support hiring managers with advertising, shortlisting, interview arrangements and selection activities.

Provide regular updates to candidates and hiring managers, ensuring an excellent customer experience.

Complete and monitor pre-employment checks, including right to work, references, occupational health and DBS clearances where required.

Produce contracts of employment and offer documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Maintain recruitment systems and records, ensuring data is accurate, secure and up to date.

Support recruitment events, careers fairs and attraction activities to promote NHSBT opportunities.

Produce reports and analyse recruitment information to support service delivery and decision-making.

Identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes and contribute to continuous service improvement.

Experience of providing excellent customer service and building effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.

Experience of working in an office or administrative environment and managing multiple priorities.

Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide advice and guidance in a professional manner.

Confident using Microsoft Office applications and digital systems, with the ability to review processes and suggest improvements.
Qualifications and Training

NVQ Level 4 in Customer Service, Administration, Business or a similar qualification, or equivalent experience.

ECDL (Part I & II), ITQ2, CLAIT II, RSA II Text/Word Processing, or demonstrable workplace experience.

Part CIPD qualified or willing to work towards full CIPD qualification.

Demonstrates commitment to continuing professional development (CPD).

This role will be based at Barnsley Blood Centre, South Yorkshire. We have two posts available, as follows;

Permanent - 37.5 hours/week, Monday - Friday (7.5 hour days between 08:00am - 17:00pm).

Fixed term / secondment (until 31st March 2027) - 37.5 hours/week, Monday - Friday (7.5 hour days between 08:00am - 17:00pm). For NHSBT staff wanting to apply for this role on a secondment basis, please discuss with your current line manager before applying.
Whilst this is a hybrid vacancy, there is an expectation to be office based 5 days/week during your initial training period (which will be dependent upon the individual appointed), followed by mandatory office working 2 days/week. The current office working days are Tuesday and Wednesday, however this is subject to change without notice, and you may be asked to work more office days at the request of the Recruitment Team Leader or Head of Recruitment Operations for training days or team meetings (notice will be provided, where possible, in these instances).

The assessment process for this role will include an interview (with two panel members) including a short test, followed by a final stage interview for the top scoring candidates with Head of Recruitment Operations.
Interviews are anticipated to be held on Wednesday 19th August, subject to confirmation, and will be in person at Barnsley Blood Centre (virtual interviews will not be possible on this occasion).
