Job Title: Area Manager Walsingham Support
Salary: £42,000 per annum
Employment Type: Full-time 37.5 hours per week / Monday - Friday with some flexibility/ weekends required.

Job Description Area Manager:
The role of an Area Manager in Supported Living is to provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple services, ensuring people receive safe, high-quality, person-centred support while services remain compliant, financially sustainable, and well-led.
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Area Manager to lead specialist Learning Disability services, primarily supporting adults with Autism who may present some behaviours that challenge, as they transition into adult services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the overall performance of the services within their area.
This is a pivotal leadership role requiring resilience, compassion, and confidence.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring safe, high quality, person-centred support, while guiding teams through complex and sometimes challenging situations.

Key Responsibilities Area Manager:
Lead, manage, and support a team of service managers and care staff to deliver outstanding care services.
This role will be overseeing Supported Living Managers who manage the day to day running of services within Wales between Swansea, Neath Port Talbot & Caerphilly.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements, including CIW standards.
- Monitor and improve service quality through regular audits and performance reviews.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance service delivery and achieve business objectives.
- Foster positive relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders.
- Manage budgets effectively to ensure financial sustainability and efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for growth and development within the region.
- Provide training, mentoring, and development opportunities for staff.
- Provide visible, hands-on leadership during incidents and periods of heightened behaviour, supporting staff to respond safely and effectively.
- Coach and develop teams in positive behaviour support approaches, ensuring consistency and confidence in practice.
- Promote a calm, reflective culture where staff feel supported to manage emotionally demanding situations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in a senior management role within the social care sector.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and legislative requirements in social care.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrate experience supporting individuals with autism and behaviours that challenge.
- Passion for developing others and building confident, capable teams.
- Resilient and reflective leader who can support others through challenge while maintaining high standards of care.
- Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
