Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across a variety of commercial and residential properties. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with a range of tools and materials. The Plumber will ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards, contributing to the smooth operation of our clients' facilities.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with specifications and safety standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete plumbing tasks effectively.
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential issues and implement appropriate solutions proactively.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate installation and repairs.
- Conduct basic maths calculations for measurements, material estimates, and system calculations.
- Assist with assembly of plumbing components and related mechanical systems as required.
- Handle heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely during installation or repair work.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed for client documentation and future reference.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations at all times during operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, or repair work.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge relevant to plumbing systems and related machinery.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and estimations.
- Valid driving licence for commercial driving (preferred but not essential).
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.
