Robin James is Dorset’s leading salon group, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic Front of House Receptionist to join our award-winning Sherborne salon. This is a part-time position working Saturdays, with opportunities for additional hours to cover holidays and busy periods.
As the first person our guests meet, you’ll play a key role in creating the warm, professional and welcoming experience that Robin James is renowned for. If you enjoy working with people, thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in making every customer feel special, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing
- Welcoming guests and ensuring they receive an outstanding experience from the moment they arrive
- Managing appointments and the salon diary using our industry-leading booking system
- Answering telephone and online enquiries
- Processing payments and handling retail sales
- Offering advice on our premium Aveda and Clarins products and promotions
- Serving refreshments and helping maintain our beautiful salon environment
- Supporting our stylists, colourists and therapists to keep the salon running smoothly
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Naturally warm, friendly and professional
- An excellent communicator with a genuine passion for customer service
- Highly organised with great attention to detail
- Confident multitasking in a busy environment
- Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office
- Reliable, enthusiastic and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team
- 2 Years experience in a reception or other customer-facing role
- Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent), including English and Maths
