We are seeking a skilled and reliable plasterer to carry out high-quality plastering work on residential and/or commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing surfaces, applying plaster, and delivering smooth, durable finishes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare walls and ceilings by cleaning, sanding, and priming surfaces
- Mix and apply different types of plaster (e.g., gypsum, lime, cement)
- Apply coats of plaster and ensure smooth, even finishes
- Repair cracks, holes, and damaged plasterwork
- Install plasterboard/dry lining where required
- Work from drawings or instructions to meet project specifications
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience as a plasterer or in a similar role
- Knowledge of plastering techniques and materials
- Ability to use plastering tools and equipment effectively
- Good attention to detail and workmanship
- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights if required
- CSCS card (preferred/required for many UK sites)
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Working Conditions
- Work may be indoors or outdoors depending on the project
- May involve lifting materials and standing for long periods
- Potential for working on scaffolding or ladders
Pay and Hours
- Typically full-time, though part-time or contract roles may be available
- Pay varies depending on experience, location, and project type
