Active8 Minds is seeking an enthusiastic Lead Playworker & Assistant Sports Coach to deliver fun, safe and engaging play and sports sessions for children aged 4–11.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead play sessions that are inclusive, creative and engaging.
- Plan and deliver sports activities in a safe, caring environment.
- Support and motivate a team of playworkers and volunteers.
- Set up activity spaces, including moving equipment and furniture.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents and schools.
- Maintain hygiene, health and safety standards.
- Administer first aid when required.
- Complete administration and record keeping.
- Attend staff meetings and contribute to club development.
- Work within Active8 Minds’ policies and procedures.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in playwork, childcare or sports coaching.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive, calm and confident decision‑maker.
- Ability to inspire children through play, sport and creative activities.
- Relevant childcare/playwork/sports qualifications (or willingness to gain them).
