Job Title: Water Hygiene Engineer

The Role
We are looking for an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer to carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), remedial works, monitoring, and compliance activities across a variety of commercial and public sector properties.

Typical Areas of Responsibility
You'll be carrying out a range of works including:
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and routine water hygiene inspections.
- Temperature monitoring, water sampling, tank inspections, and system flushing.
- Cleaning and disinfection of cold water storage tanks and associated water systems.
- Shower head descaling, calorifier inspections, remedial works, and closed-system testing where required.
- Ensuring compliance with ACoP L8, HSG274, and current water hygiene legislation while maintaining accurate service records.
We have opportunities across a range of sectors including commercial buildings, healthcare, education, housing, industrial facilities, local authority, and public sector contracts.
What You'll Need
- Proven experience as a Water Hygiene Engineer working across commercial or public sector environments.
- A strong understanding of ACoP L8, HSG274, Legionella control, and water hygiene compliance.
- Experience carrying out PPM, temperature monitoring, water sampling, tank inspections, system disinfection, and remedial works.
- Relevant water hygiene qualifications or industry-recognised training would be advantageous.
- The ability to work independently, manage your own workload, and maintain high standards of health and safety.
- A professional, customer-focused approach with excellent communication and record-keeping skills.
