Managers oversee staff and ensure the safety and wellbeing of children at the camp site. during the school holidays. They are responsible for providing strong, clear leadership, with the ability to delegate effectively, observe, communicate clearly, and make sound decisions based on best practice in any situation.
Site Managers work closely with the Head Office team to establish a strong camp foundation that supports staff, parents, and children, ensuring a safe and high-quality experience for all. They also receive ongoing support from Head Office for any additional needs or requirements.
The Site Manager is the designated safeguarding lead on site, responsible for managing concerns promptly and appropriately. This includes completing required paperwork and risk assessments, recording incidents accurately, and ensuring compliance with Ofsted requirements.
Main job responsibilities;
- Enforce Health and Safety regulations and ensure the camp is safe all the time
- Manage, direct and support staff to ensure they adhere to processes and procedures whilst the children in the care of Camps continually have a fun and safe time
- Ensure that the quality programmes are planned and delivered with structure and enthusiasm by staff at all times
- Liaise with parents in person and by phone with regard to the children's needs and feedback on any issues which arise
- Prepare and lead a Camp Induction and Training Day ensuring camp, equipment and staff are ready for the season
- Manage daily administration including sign in/out of children, timetabling and allocation of staff to timetabled activities and other adhoc duties as required
Essential requirements
- Should be over the age of 18 and have the right to work in the UK
- Have relevant experience working within the childcare industry preferably in a managerial role
- Highly motivated and responsible individuals who are able to demonstrate a mature and professional attitude to their employment acting as a strong role model for both staff and children
- Have strong IT skills and administrative expertise
- Highly organised with good communication skills and an enthusiastic approach to the role
- Hold a Paediatric First Aid Certification and Safeguarding Certificate
Desirable qualifications:
- Have experience delivering a high standard of Customer Service
- Are experienced in providing training and/or mentoring
- Have knowledge and previous training in safeguarding and child protection

- School Holidays Monday to Friday only
- Closed on Bank Holidays
Working hours : 7:30 am-5:30pm
The role is subjected to an enhanced DBS check.
