Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-time Domestic Assistant to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within the care home setting. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure that all spaces are hygienic, organized, and comfortable for residents, staff, or visitors. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, common areas, and hallways using appropriate cleaning supplies and techniques.
- Conduct regular janitorial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold high standards of cleanliness
- Restock supplies such as cleaning products, and paper goods to ensure availability at all times.
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and maintain a hygienic environment.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management for swift resolution.
- Support residents or staff with additional tasks as required to foster a welcoming atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles preferred.
- Prior experience working in hospital settings or healthcare environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and the use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure thorough cleanliness.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties which may involve lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods.
