GLOBAL CYBER SECURITY ENGINEER
Protect Critical Infrastructure for a Leading International Energy Business
The Opportunity
UGI International is seeking an experienced Global Cyber Security Engineer to join our Cybersecurity function. Working under the direction of our Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence Manager, you will help protect the software and hardware systems that underpin our operations across UGI's international business units.
This is a hands-on, technically rich role at the heart of our security operation. You will take day-to-day ownership of our core security toolset, contribute to our risk assessment and governance programme, and work closely with IT teams across the business to identify, track and remediate security risks.

What You Will Be Doing
Security Operations & Tooling
-
Administer and optimise UGI's security toolset, including Taegis, CrowdStrike, Proofpoint, Zscaler, Rapid7, KnowBe4, Phish ER, Axonius, WASP/OCP and Security Scorecard

Work with Azure/O365 and Entra ID, including conditional access policies and MFA enforcement

Analyse results from scheduled scanning and reporting, tracking issues through to resolution
Governance, Risk & Compliance

Interpret and apply industry frameworks including GDPR, SOX ITGC, ISO/IEC 27001, NIST and CIS Critical Security Controls

Support the ongoing risk assessment programme, identifying opportunities to improve UGI's risk posture

Assist with compliance efforts, collecting relevant data for examination under the manager's direction
Incident Response & Threat Intelligence

Contribute to incident response documentation and methodology

Research emerging InfoSec trends and threat intelligence through subscribed feeds

Support exposure management and attack surface visibility activities, in line with the global CTEM framework
Reporting & Collaboration

Raise, manage and track ServiceNow tickets for incidents, vulnerabilities and patching requests

Produce a monthly security metrics report for the Cybersecurity Manager

Contribute to security awareness training, including phishing simulations via KnowBe4, and mentor junior IT staff on security best practice
What We're Looking For
Essential
-
A minimum of 5 years' experience in an IT, cybersecurity or risk management role
-
Hands-on administration of Microsoft Azure, Entra ID and Office 365, including security configuration, conditional access and identity governance
-
Working knowledge of Linux and Windows Active Directory

Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, encryption and network security fundamentals
-
Experience with ServiceNow or an equivalent ITSM platform
-
Fluent English, with the ability to work with colleagues across the UK and Nordics
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent written and verbal communication
Desirable
-
Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for security automation and reporting
-
Familiarity with attack surface management, CTEM, or MITRE ATT&CK
-
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CASP+, CEH, or SANS GIAC
-
Cloud security certifications (Microsoft SC-200, AZ-500, or equivalent)

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
-
Broader security engineering experience beyond tool administration (e.g. incident response, vulnerability management ownership, security architecture)
