Part-Qualified Accountant
Are you ready to take the next step in your accounting career? Join our dynamic team at Gallagher, where you'll play a key role in supporting the Artex division. You'll be part of a collaborative team of eight within our International General Accounting team, working together to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting.
How you'll make an impact
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our accounting operations. You’ll prepare and post month-end journals, manage transactions like revenue, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, and ensure accurate bank payment runs. You’ll also prepare balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and provide insightful variance analysis and commentary.
You’ll work closely with regional finance contacts and teams across Glasgow, Europe, and North America, building strong relationships and ensuring accurate and timely accounting. You’ll also contribute to internal and external reporting, including management accounts and commentary, and support the internal overhead allocations process for Artex.
Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to assist with ad hoc analysis and collaborate on team reorganisation projects, which may involve working on other areas within the International General Accounting team.
About You

Part qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ICAS)

Experience of working in Purchase Ledger, Cash Allocations or Accounts Receivables position in a large or complex business is essential.

Prior experience of working in Financial/Professional Services would be beneficial, but not essential.

US GAAP/SOX experience would be advantageous

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

Proficiency in Excel/MS Office and accounting software (we use JDE and Sun).
