Job Specification:
- To ensure compliance to Food Safety legislation at site
- To promote a quality culture
- Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement
- Assessing product specifications and customer requirements
- Ensuring compliance with legal and customer standards
- Maintenance of third-party certification e.g. BRCGS or specific customer standards
- Agreeing and implementation of in-house and group standards
- Defining processes and implementing group procedures
- Working methodically to establish a clearly defined management system that all staff can apply
- Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation
- Supervising staff in carrying out tests and checks.
- Ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and corrective actions are implemented as require.
- Complaint handling and investigation
- Supplier approval management
- Collating and analysing performance data against defined parameters
- Providing reports as required
- Pinpointing relevant training needs
Qualifications and Experience
- Food related qualification or experience within a food business
- Experience as an internal auditor
- Experience of BRC and 3rd party audits
- HACCP qualification
- Health and Safety Experience. IOSH qualification desirable but training will be given.
- Computer skills, especially Microsoft Word and Excel
- Exceptional organisational skills
- Able to work calmly and efficiently under strict time constraints
