We are Italian Recipe, a specialist in authentic Italian desserts, cakes, pastries, biscuits, and Sicilian cannoli, and we're looking for a Part-Time Market Stall Assistant to join our team!
What We Offer:
- Location: Alexandra Palace Market, with flexibility to also cover Victoria Park Market or Herne Hill Market if needed
- Shifts: Sundays ( 6 hours), with occasional Saturday if required.
- Pay: £12.75 per hour + bonus if sales targets are met
- Work Environment: Outdoors at vibrant farmers markets
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting up and packing down the market stall
- Selling our range of Italian desserts and pastries, engaging with customers, and promoting our products
- Providing excellent customer service with a friendly and approachable attitude
- Handling cash and card transactions
- Keeping the stall clean, organized, and well-stocked throughout the day
What We're Looking For:
- Reliability: Punctual and trustworthy, with the ability to manage the stall independently if needed.
- Sales Skills: Comfortable engaging with customers and encouraging sales.
- Positive Attitude: Friendly, outgoing, and able to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Flexibility: Must be able to work at different market locations (Victoria Park, Herne Hill) as needed. The ability to move between locations is essential.
- Knowledge of Italian Patisserie (or willingness to learn) is a plus.
- Previous experience in a similar role (retail, sales, market stalls) is an advantage but not essential.
- Physically fit: The role involves setting up/packing down, standing for long hours, and some lifting.
Requirements:
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Must be aged 18+
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills, a passion for food, and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment.
