Weekend / Evening Dog Events Host
£13-£14 per hour
Sundays - 2-3 hours between 10am and 4pm
Evenings - Monday and Wednesday 6pm - 8pm
(2 Sundays per month on a rota basis, 1 - 2 evenings per week on a rota basis)

We’re looking for a Dog Events Host to join the Dogs Go team and help run our popular dog events!
You’ll be:
- welcoming customers
- helping dogs settle
- reading dog body language
- managing group dynamics
- supporting safe and positive play
- chatting to customers
- confidently stepping in and handling situations when needed
You’ll essentially be the face of the event, helping create a fun, safe and friendly atmosphere for both dogs and humans
This role would suit someone who:
- genuinely loves dogs
- has a naturally warm and outgoing personality
- is assertive and confident communicating with people
- can remain calm whilst managing busy dog group environments
- is observant and proactive
- can handle difficult conversations professionally if needed
- understands that safety always comes first
Important:
This role requires confidence, assertiveness and the ability to manage both dogs and people in a busy environment. Whilst a love of dogs is essential, applicants must also feel comfortable speaking up, managing group dynamics and handling situations calmly and professionally when needed.
This role would not be suitable for someone uncomfortable giving direction to customers or stepping into challenging situations when required.
Experience:
- Customer service experience is essential (minimum 2 years preferred)
- You must have experience around dogs, whether professionally or as a dog owner
- Confidence reading dog body language
Please note:
- This role may involve standing outdoors for several hours in all weather conditions
- The role can at times be physically and mentally demanding due to managing both dogs and people in a busy environment
