Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, and nutrition, ensuring dignity and comfort at all times
- Supervise and support care staff to deliver consistent, high-quality care aligned with individual care plans
- Lead by example in promoting respectful communication and fostering a caring environment for residents and team members
- Under the direction of the Registered Nurses, assist with basic nursing tasks, medication management and MDT oversight.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of personalized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident progress, incidents, and care activities using IT systems efficiently
- Support residents’ emotional well-being through active engagement, companionship, and effective communication skills
- Drive safety protocols within the home by conducting regular checks and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a care home or senior care setting with supervisory or leadership responsibilities
- Minimum of Level 3 in Health and Social Care or Equivalent
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, and team members
- Ability to supervise and motivate staff while maintaining a positive team environment
- Experience in developing or following care plans with attention to detail
- Competency in using IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes
- Supervising experience demonstrating leadership qualities essential for guiding team members effectively
