Overview
We are looking for an energetic, reliable individual to assist our kitchen team. The position is for approximately 2 days a week plus cover for holiday/absence as needed that may include some weekends. All hours are daytime hours and the team work set days. This is not a full time position - please do not apply if that is what you are looking for. Although this is a temporary position, there is the possibility of it becoming permanent.
You will be enthusiastic, flexible and knowledgeable about food, food hygiene and allergens and be willing to learn and adapt. You will have great communication skills and be able to work well in a team.
Responsibilities will include preparing fresh food and adhering to all aspects of food safety.

- Assist with meal preparation and cooking.
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and utensils.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
- Help with serving meals during busy periods or events.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Follow all business and cafe processes
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous.
- Strong culinary skills, including food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and priorities within the kitchen.
