Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work with different materials, particularly sheet metal. As a Fabricator/Welder, you will play an essential role in producing high-quality components that meet our stringent standards. The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years experience in making gates, railings, handrails and light fabrication and experience in MIG and MMA welding. Salary negotiable at interview.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and MMA welding on various materials, ensuring strong and precise welds
- Utilise hand tools and power tools for fabrication tasks
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to assemble components accurately
- Fabricate parts from sheet metal according to specifications
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with standards
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and resolve any issues that arise
Requirements
- Proven experience in welding, particularly MIG and MMA welding techniques
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for fabrication tasks
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication
- Experience in assembly processes is advantageous
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
