Due to location own transport is advantageous and the role is mainly term time only
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning of classrooms, hallways, toilets , offices, and common areas using commercial cleaning equipment and supplies
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust surfaces, and sanitize high-touch areas to prevent the spread of germs
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet paper to ensure facilities are well-equipped
- Litter pick and clean up of playground
- Dispose of waste properly
- Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
- Report any maintenance issues or damages promptly to the appropriate personnel
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the school premises consistently
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as vacuums, buffers, or floor scrubbers safely
- Good physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform cleaning tasks for extended periods
- Reliable with excellent time management skills to complete assigned duties efficiently
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work independently or as part of a team
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices
- Up to date DBS Essential
