Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team who will progress into a QS role. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical works across various sites. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring the safety and functionality of electrical infrastructure, contributing to the smooth operation of our organization.
Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using hand tools and power tools to diagnose faults accurately
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to prevent future problems
- Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and wiring schematics
- Ensure all work is completed safely, adhering to health and safety protocols at all times, to produce and complete all relevant paperwork i.e. RAMS, reports and certificates.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and team members to complete projects efficiently
- Document work performed and report any issues or concerns promptly
- Assist in upgrading existing electrical systems to meet current standards
Experience
- Proven experience as an Electrician or in a similar role within the construction or maintenance industries
- Demonstrable electrical experience with a solid understanding of wiring methods, circuit design, and safety regulations
- Valid qualifications or certifications relevant to electrical work (e.g., City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation 18th Edition Regs & 2391 Test & Inspect And AM2) Required
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and safety compliance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £32,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
