The Chequers Inn is a 2 AA Rosette Hotel and Restaurant in the Buckinghamshire countryside near High Wycombe, with excellent transport links into London and the South-East.
We’re currently looking for a reliable kitchen porter to join our busy Kitchen team. This is an excellent hands-on learning experience for anyone looking to begin a career working in a professional kitchen. Many of our chefs began as kitchen porters and have now worked their way up to become senior chefs in the kitchen. We are a small team so our working environment is fun, friendly and hardworking. You’ll be in charge of cleaning the kitchen, unloading deliveries, washing dishes and basic food preparation. Full training will be provided and you will report to the Head Chef.
You will work 4-5 days per week of straight shifts, on a 7 day rota, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays. A staff meal and drink are provided on shift. You must be able to live and work in the UK. We cannot provide live-in accommodation for this role.
Kitchen Porters also recieve a share of the tips - this is usually around £400-£500 per 4 weekly pay.
