A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HOUSEKEEPING MANAGER AT HOUSE HOTEL
What you'll be doing...
- Lead and inspire the housekeeping team to maintain the boutique, high-design standards House Hotel is known for.
- Oversee the daily housekeeping operation, ensuring all guest rooms and public areas are immaculate and ready on time.
- Carry out detailed quality inspections to ensure every room reflects the hotel’s personality and premium finish.
- Recruit, train and develop team members, fostering a positive, supportive and accountable team culture.
- Prepare rotas aligned with occupancy levels, ensuring productivity targets and payroll budgets are achieved.
- Manage linen, amenities and cleaning supply stock levels, maintaining cost control and reducing waste.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and cleanliness regulations at all times.
- Work closely with Reception and Maintenance to ensure a seamless guest journey from arrival to departure.
- Respond professionally to guest feedback, resolving any issues swiftly and effectively.
- Continuously look for opportunities to improve efficiency, sustainability and service standards.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Proven experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or Housekeeping Manager within a hotel environment.
- A passion for boutique hospitality and delivering exceptional presentation standards.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop your team.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering spotless results.
- Good financial awareness, including labour management and stock control.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- A hands-on, lead-by-example approach.
- Flexibility to work weekends and peak trading periods.
