Overview
We are looking for an organised and customer-focused Telesales & Sales Order Processor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately processing customer orders, providing excellent customer service, and supporting the sales team with day-to-day administrative tasks. This is a fast-paced role that requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
Previous telesales experience is essential, as there may be opportunities to identify customer needs, promote products, and support sales growth through proactive customer contact alongside our Sales Manager.
Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound telesales calls to prospective and existing clients to promote products and secure sales opportunities
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Liaise with customers by phone and email regarding orders, deliveries, and product enquiries.
- Ensure customer records are maintained and updated on the company system.
- Work closely with the sales, bakery and driving teams to ensure orders are fulfilled on time.
- Resolve customer queries and issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Prepare quotations and process amendments or cancellations where required.
- Monitor stock availability and communicate any shortages or delays to customers.
- Assist with general sales administration and reporting.
- Where appropriate, identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products to existing customers.
Essential
- Previous experience in a sales order processing, customer service, or telesales role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive and positive approach to customer service.
Desirable
- Experience of working within a busy office.
- Knowledge of order processing or stock management systems.
