Fox & Co Accountants Ltd is a friendly, well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Bishop's Sutton. We are looking for an experienced Practice Office Manager to oversee the smooth running of our busy office and provide support to the Directors and wider team.
This is a key role within the practice and would suit someone who has previous experience working within an accountancy practice or professional services environment and understands the requirements of a busy, client-focused office.
About the Role
As our Practice Office Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the practice, supporting the team, maintaining effective office procedures and helping us continue to provide an excellent service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day running of the office, including calls, emails, correspondence and client enquiries.
- Providing administrative support to the Directors and team, ensuring processes, workflows and deadlines are managed effectively.
- Liaising with clients, HMRC, Companies House and other third parties.
- Maintaining client records, supporting new client onboarding and ensuring compliance procedures are followed.
- Managing office systems, supplies, suppliers and equipment.
- Supporting the development of office procedures, staff training and improvements to efficiency.
- Assisting with marketing activities, including social media and website updates where required.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience as an Office Manager or Senior Administrator within a professional office environment.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and positive attitude with excellent attention to detail.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and practice management software.
- Experience of working with systems such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, Iris, Capium or similar would be advantageous.
- The ability to work independently while supporting a close-knit team.
