Okko is a chilled neighbourhood sushi bar and izakaya, reminiscent of the vibrant establishments in Tokyo's Shimbashi district. We have been open for 10 years and currently run 2 locations in East London. We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to support our busy kitchen team at our Broadway Market location.
Requirements:
- Some experience in a professional kitchen, ideally as a Kitchen Porter is desirable
- Good level of spoken English to communicate with the team
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work weekends & evenings
Responsibilities:
- Support chefs with kitchen prep and cleaning tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen and dishwashing areas
- Ensure all kitchen equipment and utensils are clean, sanitised, and ready for service
- Assist with deliveries and stock rotation as needed
- Work closely with the kitchen and Front of House teams to help keep everything running smoothly during service
Salary & Benefits:
- National Ninimum Wage depending on age group + Tronc
