Job Summary:
As a Cleaner (Key Holder), you will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment within a busy veterinary practice. Working independently after hours, you will be responsible for securing the premises and ensuring high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the site.
You will carry out cleaning duties safely and effectively, reporting any issues or hazards promptly. Full training will be provided, along with the support needed to perform your role confidently.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible to the Team Leader.
As a Cleaning Operative, you will be expected to:
- Provide cleaning services within the veterinary practice, ensuring high-quality service provision and excellent customer satisfaction.
- Clean consulting rooms, treatment areas, reception areas, offices, kitchens, and washrooms.
- Complete cleaning tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, dusting, emptying bins, sanitising touchpoints, and replenishing consumables.
- Act as a key holder, ensuring the site is opened and/or secured in accordance with site procedures.
- Work independently and maintain a high standard of cleanliness at all times.
- Ensure good working relationships with site employees and management.
- Keep up to date with good working practices, products, and techniques.
- Commit to equality and diversity and promote non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of work undertaken.
- Comply with current Health and Safety legislation.
To be successful in the Cleaning Operative role, you will need:
- Self-motivation, flexibility, and enthusiasm.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
- Awareness of relevant health and safety practices and procedures.
- Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
- Reliability and trustworthiness, as this is a key holder position.
