About the Role
We are looking for enthusiastic, caring, and dedicated Early Years Practitioners to join our nursery team. Successful candidates may work across our Baby Room, Toddler Room, and Preschool Room, supporting children's learning and development in a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.
We welcome applications from qualified practitioners and will also consider non-qualified candidates with a strong nursery background in early years education and childcare.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care for children.
- Deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum effectively.
- Plan, implement, review, and evaluate activities for key children.
- Monitor, record, and assess children's progress and development.
- Upload relevant information onto the nursery's childcare progress tracking system.
- Maintain children's learning journeys and share progress with parents and carers.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, carers, and other professionals.
- Work collaboratively as part of a supportive staff team.
- Ensure a safe, secure, hygienic, and stimulating environment for all children.
- Support children with individual needs, disabilities, cultural backgrounds, and medical requirements.
- Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and nursery events.
- Support students, volunteers, and other practitioners within the setting.
- Undertake additional responsibilities where required, such as SENCO, Safeguarding Lead, or Training Coordinator duties.
Requirements Essential
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare (or equivalent).
- Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Passion for supporting children's learning and development.
Desirable
- Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Desire to further develop professionally and gain additional qualifications or professional status.
