Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterilized appropriately
- Provide high-quality patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and offering reassurance throughout treatments
- Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems, documenting treatments, observations, and follow-up instructions clearly and efficiently
- Support infection control protocols to uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety within the clinic
- Organize appointment schedules, manage patient flow, and ensure timely communication with patients regarding their treatment plans
- Communicate effectively with patients in fluent English, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure the clinic runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to a positive work environment
Requirements
- Proven experience or training in nursing or dental assisting, with a strong focus on patient care
- Excellent communication skills in English, capable of explaining procedures clearly and empathetically
- Knowledge of IT systems used for record keeping and appointment management within healthcare settings
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative and independence when needed
- A genuine passion for patient care and promoting oral health awareness
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in nursing or dental assisting are preferred but not mandatory
