Young Victims of Crime Lead Worker (Job Ref: 26-31)
Permanent contract - £25,247.00 per annum pro rata
Part-time - 20 hours per week- Based in Plymouth
Passionate about the emotional wellbeing, safety and mental health of children and young people?
Think you can make a difference to young people by listening and supporting them to move forward?
The service delivers trauma informed support to young people who have experienced a crime, to listen and value their experiences, understand the impacts this has had for them and to together find a goal and a way forward. You will be based at the Young Devon building in Plymouth as well as undertaking work in a wide range of community settings including, where appropriate, schools and young people’s homes to enable young people to engage with support in the way that will work for them best.
This support might include work on, self-esteem, managing emotions, understanding the crime a young person has experienced and the impacts of this trauma.
Your support will be a combination of face to face, online and group work sessions and you will be skilled at creating a safe, confidential, enjoyable space wherever you meet.
