Job Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career within the agricultural machinery industry.
Working alongside our Parts and Service team, you will receive hands-on training and experience across parts, stock control, warranty administration and yard operations. You will also act as an important link between the Parts and Service department, particularly following the completion Administration of off-site service jobs.
An interest in agricultural, plant or machinery is desirable, but previous industry experience is not essential. The most important qualities are a positive attitude, willingness to learn, reliability and the ability to use your initiative.
*This is in a remote location so having a driving Licence is essential.*
Duties
- Assist the Parts Manager with ordering, receiving and organizing parts.
- Help maintain accurate stock records and ensure parts are available when required.
- Assist service technicians and customers with parts enquiries and orders.
- Support the processing of manufacturer warranty claims, ensuring they are accurate and submitted promptly.
- Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers, including Kubota, Nugent and CFMOTO, regarding parts and warranty matters.
- Maintain accurate records of warranty claims, correspondence and resolutions.
- Provide a professional and friendly service to customers to include communication in person, by telephone and email.
- Work closely with the Service Department to ensure parts and information are available following off-site jobs.
- Assist with general yard operations, including the movement, organisation and preparation of machinery and equipment.
- Help maintain a clean, safe and organised parts and yard environment.
- Develop your knowledge of agricultural machinery, parts and associated systems through practical training and day-to-day experience.
- Take responsibility for tasks and use your initiative to identify and resolve straightforward problems.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Enthusiastic, reliable and keen to learn and develop new skills.
- Interested in agricultural machinery, plant or mechanical equipment — although this is not essential.
- Organised, methodical and able to pay close attention to detail.
- Confident communicating with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
- Comfortable using computers — good computer skills are essential.
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive and able to use initiative rather than always waiting to be instructed.
- Practical, hands-on and willing to get involved in a variety of tasks.
- Professional and customer-focused, with a strong work ethic.
- Committed to maintaining high standards of service and workmanship.
(A forklift licence would be advantageous but is not essential, as training can be provided for the right candidate.)
