ACCOUNT MANAGER
Position: Full-time, office based in Islington, North London (with 1 discretionary working from home day a week after passing probation).
Location: N1 3QP, Islington, North London
Salary: £35,000 to £45,000 plus commission.

Our reputation is built on creativity, competitive pricing, ethical sourcing and reliable delivery. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an enthusiastic and commercially minded Experienced Product Merchandiser to join our procurement team.
THE ROLE
As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing customer relationships from brief to delivery, ensuring projects are delivered successfully while building long-term partnerships and identifying opportunities for growth.
You will act as the primary point of contact for your accounts, working closely with clients, suppliers and internal teams to bring licensed and promotional merchandise projects to life. This role combines relationship management, project coordination, commercial awareness, business development and new business generation.
You will be responsible not only for delivering projects successfully, but also for supporting account growth, forecasting, profitability, and strategic planning alongside the Business Director.
As part of the sales team, each Account Manager will have an individual sales target, with the opportunity to earn performance-related commission based on achieving and exceeding agreed targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Build and nurture strong customer relationships, developing a deep understanding of each client’s business and objectives
· Manage projects from initial brief through to production and final delivery
· Coordinate quotations, sampling, production timelines, and order management
· Work closely with design, buying & logistics teams to bring products to market
· Support licensing submissions, product approvals, and compliance requirements
· Coordinate and help resolve any production, quality, or delivery challenges
· Prepare presentations, costings, and project updates for customers
· Maintain accurate project plans, forecasts, and account documentation
· Support business planning and growth initiatives across your accounts
· Monitor project profitability and work with leadership to maximise commercial performance
· Ensure customer forecasts, billing and project reporting are managed accurately and on time
· Actively identify and develop new business opportunities, building relationships with prospective clients and converting opportunities into new accounts and projects
· Grow existing accounts by identifying new opportunities, product categories and areas for development
· Work towards and achieve individual sales targets, maintaining a healthy pipeline of opportunities and providing accurate sales forecasts
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in Account Management, Client Services or Project Management in the merchandise industry.
· Experience within merchandise, promotional products, licensing, sourcing, retail or related industries would be highly advantageous.
· Strong understanding of project management and customer relationship management.
· Commercially confident, with the ability and motivation to develop new business and grow existing accounts.
· Experience working with international suppliers and manufacturers, particularly in China.
· Understanding of production processes, logistics, import/export procedures, and supply chain operations is a must.
· Excellent commercial awareness and confidence discussing costs, margins, and profitability.
· Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills.
· Confident managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
· Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Finance Packages and Outlook.
