We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Level 2 Early Years Practitioner to join our team.
Our nursery is small, which means you will get to know the children well and become an important part of their day. We believe children learn best when they feel safe, happy and supported, and we want our staff to feel the same.

Your role will include:
- Being a Key Person for a small group of children and building strong, positive relationships with them and their families
- Supporting children’s learning and development through play and everyday experiences
- Planning and taking part in fun and engaging activities
- Observing children and recording meaningful observations of their learning and development
- Using observations to help plan activities and support children’s next steps
- Working in line with the EYFS and having a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Helping children feel safe, happy and confident
- Supporting children with their daily routines, including meals, sleep and personal care
- Building positive relationships with parents and sharing information about their child’s day and development
- Working closely with the rest of the team
- Following nursery policies and keeping children safe at all times
- Helping to maintain a clean, organised and welcoming environment
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a full and relevant UK Level 2 childcare qualification
- Has experience working with young children, ideally aged 1–4
- Has a good understanding of the EYFS and how young children learn and develop
- Understands the role of a Key Person and is confident building relationships with children and parents
- Is comfortable writing observations and contributing to children’s learning records
- Is warm, caring and patient
- Enjoys playing and interacting with children
- Is reliable and works well as part of a small team
- Has good communication skills
- Is happy to get involved in all aspects of nursery life
- Has a positive attitude and a good sense of humour
An enhanced DBS check will be required, and we will arrange and cover the cost of this for you if you do not already have one.
