EPUT would like to invite psychologists who are interested in working to support whole person wellbeing to apply for the new Senior Psychologist for Breathlessness post. This post has been created with the support of respiratory and cardiac colleagues across the MSE region focusing on need rather than diagnosis. You will be part of a new service and will be working with another Senior Psychologist and the Lead Principal Psychologist. The Senior Psychologist would be expected to support the Principal Psychologist to develop the service alongside MDT colleagues, partners and people who use the service using co-production approach. This is an exciting opportunity to develop a service in line with the NHS vision for integrated care.
In the initial phase of the service there is an expectation to provide training for MDT colleagues across acute and community care settings. This will focus on using psychological approaches to breathlessness so that our colleagues can share these approaches when undertaking their roles, enabling people to feel empowered to manage their condition more effectively. Supervision spaces will also be a part of this model.
