Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar and restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a vibrant team, ensure food safety standards are maintained, and create a welcoming environment for our guests. Previous experience in restaurant, hotel, or bar settings is highly desirable.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the bar, ensuring smooth service throughout shifts
- Lead and motivate a team of bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff to deliver outstanding hospitality
- Oversee food preparation and ensure high standards of culinary presentation and quality
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and monitor inventory to minimise waste
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards in all areas
- Develop and implement innovative drink menus and promotional events to attract customers
- Handle customer enquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure guest satisfaction
- Train staff on food safety procedures, serving protocols, and responsible alcohol service
- Collaborate with kitchen management on food production processes and menu planning
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a hospitality environment, ideally in bars or restaurants
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead by example
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary practices
- Experience in food safety standards and food production processes
- Familiarity with restaurant or hotel operations and hospitality best practices
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in service delivery
- Previous barista experience or knowledge of beverage preparation is advantageous
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff under pressure
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour towards guests and team members

Pay: £36,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
