As a CBRE Multi-skilled Technician, you will perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on a mechanical, electrical, and other building system.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a diverse portfolio of heritage and commercial properties.
- Identify and manage the risks to the client through the equipment on site, including updating drawings, identifying critical spares, improving performance of machinery, implementing the preventative maintenance program
- Prepare and follow Risk Assessments, and raise any concerns or issues identified in a safe and timely manner.
- Support others in the department in relation to Health and Safety, completing and not limited to; Raising two hazards a month, completing one behavioural risk review on a sub-contractor or colleague, permitting processes for high-risk works, participating in toolbox talks
- Carry out installation, fabrication, and repair works to maintain the integrity and functionality of building assets.
- Build strong relationships with clients, occupants, and stakeholders, delivering an exceptional customer experience at every site.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with statutory compliance requirements, CBRE procedures, and health & safety legislation.
- Use Mobile Devices to accurately record maintenance activities, inspections, and remedial works using CAFM systems and Company documentation.
- Support colleagues where required, promoting a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Aligned with Skillset - Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and building services faults efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to clients and building occupants.
- For electrically biased engineering, Maintain and service a wide range of plant and equipment, including HVAC, lighting, power, controls, and associated building systems.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer documentation to support fault finding and repairs.
- Working on Motors, Pneumatic and Electrical Systems
- Use of emailing / calendars to plan your daily work requirements so that all tasks are completed effortlessly and efficiently.
- Overtime may be requested as and when the business requires, this may include nights and weekends to which notice will be given
- Perform Ad-hoc duties as and when required
About You
- Proven experience in a Multi-Skilled Engineering role within building services, facilities management, or a similar environment.
- Strong electrical maintenance background with excellent fault-finding capabilities.
- Experience working on a variety of building services systems and plant equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and operational manuals.
- Knowledge of building controls, automation systems, or PLCs would be advantageous.
- Mechanical, fabrication, or general maintenance skills are desirable.
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills with a professional and proactive approach.
- Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working independently across multiple sites.
- Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
- Full UK driving licence required.
- Completed or time-served apprenticeship; electrical or mechanical qualifications at City and Guilds Level 3 or equivalent, along with 18th Edition certification.
- Strong multi-skilled capability
- Proven fault-finding skills
- Lighting controls diagnostics and repair competencies
- Ability to supervise contractors effectively
- Ability to prepare Risk and Method Statements
- Ability to understand and prepare Permits

Pay: £40,000.00-£44,000.00 per year
