About the Role
The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating revenue by selling Codestone’s portfolio of cloud-based software solutions, consultancy services, and Microsoft managed services to both new and existing clients. The role focuses on identifying and developing strategic opportunities, managing the full sales cycle, and contributing to long-term client growth. It is a customer-facing position, supported by Technical Presales, Marketing, and Account Management teams to enable effective engagement and successful delivery of the sales strategy.
Plan and lead high-impact engagements with new prospects and existing customers, including discovery meetings, tailored demos, presentations, and solution workshops.
Conduct in-depth requirements gathering and white space analysis to uncover business needs, inform solution design, and identify cross-sell or up-sell opportunities.
Deliver persuasive, customer-focused software demonstrations aligned to business objectives and key stakeholder priorities.
Create and manage high-quality sales documentation, including budgetary proposals, statements of work (SOWs), master services agreements (MSAs), and commercial contracts.
Clearly articulate and present the Codestone value proposition, differentiating our solutions in a competitive landscape.
Lead the completion of RFIs, ITTs, and bid submissions, coordinating input across internal teams to ensure accurate and compelling responses.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring ongoing engagement, satisfaction, and identification of new opportunities.
Champion a culture of customer success, helping clients realise value from their investments and positioning Codestone as a long-term strategic partner.
Collaborate with Internal Sales, Account Management, and Marketing to align on strategy, share market insights, and improve lead conversion.
Proactively prospect within the existing client base to drive account growth and increase solution adoption.
Work closely with Marketing to support campaigns, generate new leads, and nurture opportunities through the funnel.
Consistently meet or exceed agreed sales targets and KPIs, contributing to overall commercial growth and business performance.
Proven B2B technology sales experience with a strong track record in generating, developing, and closing new and existing business opportunities
Skilled in managing the full sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure, within complex and consultative sales environments
Confident in delivering tailored software demonstrations and articulating the business value of IT and cloud-based solutions
Strong presentation skills with experience in pitching company, product, and solution offerings to varied audiences
Experienced in producing high-quality proposals and responding to RFIs, ITTs, and formal bid processes
Solid understanding of CRM systems for pipeline management and performance tracking
Knowledge of strategic sales methodologies, major account management, and multi-stakeholder engagement
Professional, ethical, and engaging approach with excellent relationship-building skills
Results-focused, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel as required
