Role: Barn Team Member (Bar)
Location: Over Barn
Responsible for: Shift tasks and customer requests in the barn
Reportable to: Barn Shift Manager
Job Purpose and Scope
The barn staff are key member of the Over Barn team, responsible for the daily tasks at wedding receptions and events as well as keeping the guests in great spirits. The role involves delivering consistently excellent experiences to our customers whilst keeping the barn area clean and tidy.
Job Objectives
· Excellent communications with guests, ensuring that everyone has a great experience whilst spending time with us
· Proficient in pouring a great pint or glass pinot (or at least willing to learn)
· Be a strong team player – having fun whilst working hard!
Person Specification
Essential
- Have a good understanding wedding formats and traditions
- Attend the Over Barn Induction Session
- Possess excellent customer service skills
- Possess excellent timekeeping skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- 18 years old + due to the working hours required
Desirable
- Experience of bar and event catering work
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Friendly and outgoing disposition
- Experience of Health & Safety and/or First Aid
