Job Title: Material Processor (Evening Shift)
Location: Burntwood, Staffordshire
Hours: Part-Time, Monday to Friday, 4:00pm – 9:00pm (23.75 hours per week)
Rate of Pay: £14.00-16.00 per hour
Reports to: Operations Supervisor

Greencable is one of the UK's fastest-growing scrap cable and metal collection businesses, providing a nationwide collection service to electricians, plumbers and trade professionals.
As our business continues to grow, we are looking to expand our established Shift 2 team by recruiting an additional Material Processor to support our evening operations.
The Role
Our Material Processors play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our operations by processing and preparing the material collected throughout the day.
Working as part of our dedicated evening shift, you'll be responsible for accurately sorting, weighing and recording materials, completing compliance paperwork, and helping prepare the operation for the following day's collections.
This is a focused, hands-on and very fast paced role suited to someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in accuracy and enjoys working within a structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort and process non-ferrous scrap materials collected throughout the day.
- Identify and separate materials by type and grade.
- Accurately weigh and record incoming materials.
- Produce Waste Transfer Notes and associated documentation.
- Allocate the correct material grades and pricing in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain accurate processing records.
- Assist with unloading collection vehicles where required.
- Prepare vehicles and equipment ready for the following day's collections.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the yard.
- Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures.

Previous experience within recycling, warehousing, logistics or yard operations is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
