Due to continued growth, KCR Solutions are assisting this expanding business in their search for an experienced and proactive Finance Manager. Operating within a thriving and fast-paced property sector environment, this is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys taking ownership, managing multiple priorities, and contributing to the success of a growing organisation.
Working as part of a busy finance team of five, you will take responsibility for the financial management of eight separate legal entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust financial controls, and supporting the senior leadership team with key financial information and insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing daily, weekly, and monthly bank and credit card reconciliations using Sage Line 50
- Managing the financial records of multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance across the group
- Preparing year-end accounts for all group companies and liaising with external accountants as part of the year-end process
- Posting and reviewing year-end journals, accruals, prepayments, and other accounting adjustments
- Maintaining and reconciling fixed asset registers across all entities
- Ensuring client and deposit accounts are accurately reconciled and fully prepared for external audits and governing body inspections
- Allocating rental payments received to the correct tenant accounts using specialist property management software
- Overseeing supplier payments and ensuring landlords, contractors, and suppliers are paid accurately and within agreed payment terms
- Managing creditor ledgers and maintaining accurate purchase ledger records within Sage Line 50
- Reviewing, reconciling, and posting financial transactions relating to property purchases from solicitors' completion statements
- Producing regular financial information and reports for senior management
- Identifying areas where processes, systems, and controls can be improved to support continued business growth
- Acting as the principal point of contact for the finance team, providing support, guidance, and assistance with accounting queries
- Assisting in the development and mentoring of junior members of the accounts team where required
- Comfortable operating in a high-volume, fast-moving environment and can confidently manage multiple priorities across several businesses simultaneously.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior accounting position
- Previous experience managing or supporting the finances of multiple legal entities
- Strong working knowledge of Sage Line 50 (essential)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently whilst also contributing positively within a team environment
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting and guiding junior finance team members
Desirable
- Property, lettings, or real estate sector experience
- Experience preparing year-end accounts
- 10+ years' accountancy experience
- Experience using additional accounting or property management systems
