We are seeking a reliable and professional Part-Time Delivery Driver to join our team. Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including vans or lorries, to deliver goods to various locations within designated areas.
- Plan efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel consumption.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and in good condition, adhering to company standards.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and resolve any issues professionally.
- Assist with loading and unloading items, which may involve heavy lifting and manual handling.
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle, conducting regular checks and reporting any maintenance issues.
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery logs and receipts.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations.
- Valid driver’s licence appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., car or lorry).
- Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, demonstrating physical fitness for manual handling tasks.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Organised with good time management skills to meet delivery schedules reliably.
- Knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations is preferred.
