About the Role
Move8 Removals & Storage is a growing removals company providing professional, reliable and friendly moving services to our customers.
We are looking for hardworking, reliable and customer-focused Porters to join our team. This is a hands-on role where no two days are exactly the same. You could be helping customers move house, loading and unloading vehicles, moving furniture and ensuring belongings are handled safely and professionally.
No previous removals experience is necessary – full training will be provided.
Working Pattern & Hours
Normal working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm.
Weekend work is also available, and overtime opportunities are regularly available for those who want to earn extra money.
We can consider both full-time and part-time applicants, depending on availability and business requirements.
Please note that removals work can sometimes require flexibility around finish times depending on the job and travel involved.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading furniture, boxes and household items
- Assisting with home and office removals
- Safely carrying and moving furniture and other items
- Working as part of a team to complete removals efficiently
- Taking care of customers’ belongings and property
- Helping to keep vehicles and equipment clean and organised
- Providing friendly and professional customer service
- Following company procedures and health & safety requirements
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Physically fit and able to carry and lift furniture
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- A good team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Customer-focused and professional
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding role
- Willing to learn and follow instructions
- Flexible with working hours
- Previous removals, warehouse, delivery or manual-handling experience is an advantage, but not essential
