Hardscape Surfaces Ltd are looking to recruit a skilled or semi-skilled, Stonemason / Production Operative at our manufacturing facility in Bolton.
This role involves:
- Reading and interpreting drawings
- Determining the materials and equipment needed for project
- Mixing grouts, cements, adhesives
- Cutting and shaping stone to desired specification using highly skilled stonemasonry techniques
- Creating pocketing for inlays and inlaying stone artwork materials
- Potential Site work
- Masking stones ready for sandblasting
- Operating overhead lifting cranes
- Smoothing and polishing stones
- Carry out repairs on cracked or chipped stones
- Being able to support other members of staff with other task in production warehouse
Candidates are preferred who have experience in any of the following processes:
- Working with cutting and shaping tools
- Stone masonry
- Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driving
Full training will be given including Health & Safety, Stonemasonry, and use of Manual or Powered tools. Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driving training will be provided if not already held or recently certified.
Working hours:
The working hours will be a 40-hour week as follows:
Week 1: Mon- Friday 7am- 4pm
Week 2: Mon- Friday 7pm-2.30pm
