Sausage Maker / Production Butcher
The Butcher of Brogdale is looking for an experienced Sausage Maker to join our growing production team.
We are looking for someone who has previous experience making sausages in a butchery, meat production, or food manufacturing environment. Experience using an automatic sausage filler/linker would be ideal.
The role will include:
- Producing sausages to a high standard and consistent specification
- Using sausage fillers, mixers, mincers, and other production equipment
- Preparing mixes, seasoning, and filling sausages accurately
- Working with natural and/or collagen casings
- Maintaining excellent hygiene and food safety standards
- Following production sheets and recipes
- Helping with general butchery and production work when required
- Cleaning down equipment and work areas properly at the end of production
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous sausage making or meat production experience
- Experience using an automatic sausage filler/linker, preferred but not essential
- A good understanding of hygiene and food safety
- A reliable and hard-working attitude
- Good attention to detail
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- Butchery experience would be an advantage
