Must hold a relevant level 3 childcare qualification
Duties:
- Supervise and lead a team of nursery staff members
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum for children
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the nursery
- Maintain a clean and organized nursery environment
- Communicate with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Assist with meal times, diaper changes, and nap times as needed
- Collaborate with other nursery room leaders and staff members to ensure smooth operations
Skills:
- Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices
- Ability to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children
- Patience, compassion, and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism
- First Aid and CPR certification is preferred
We are a home based setting, we are not a childminder but also not a normal nursery we are a bit of both and are what is known as a childcare on domestic premises. What we have is unique and would be happy to offer the right applicant a space to join our team!
