Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sous Chef to join our professional culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food quality. Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes in accordance with restaurant standards
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to recipes and portion sizes
- Lead food safety and hygiene practices across the kitchen to meet regulatory standards
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control wastage effectively
- Train junior team members on culinary techniques, safety procedures, and customer service standards
- Contribute to menu development by suggesting innovative dishes and seasonal updates
- Maintain organisation within the kitchen environment to optimise workflow efficiency
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Solid knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality environments
- Previous restaurant experience is essential
