About the Role
We are looking for an organised, analytical and proactive Commercial Operations Coordinator to join our growing team.
Reporting to the Head of Business Operations, you will play a key role in supporting the commercial success of the business by managing customer data, maintaining our CRM system, producing insightful reports and ensuring commercial opportunities are identified and progressed. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, improving processes and supporting business development activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the company CRM, ensuring all customer and prospect information is accurate, complete and consistently maintained.
- Manage and analyse commercial data, including customer interactions, quotations, sales opportunities and buying history to provide meaningful business insights.
- Produce regular reports and dashboards that track pipeline activity, customer trends, business performance and key performance indicators.
- Carry out customer, market and competitor research, preparing high-quality briefing packs and commercial intelligence to support business development and strategic planning.
- Support customer relationship management by assisting with enquiries, customer onboarding and follow up activities, helping to deliver an excellent customer experience.
- Prepare commercial documentation including quotations, proposals, presentations, tender support and other business development materials.
- Work closely with Operations, Technical and Finance teams to ensure customer requirements are met and commercial activities are delivered efficiently.
- Continuously review and improve CRM processes, reporting and data quality, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and improve the customer experience.
- Maintain marketing and customer information, ensuring website content, case studies, marketing materials and commercial documentation remain accurate and up to date.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve business performance by using data, research and commercial insight to support decision-making.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Analytical and confident working with data and reporting.
- Comfortable using CRM systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP and complex formulas.
- Able to confidently research businesses, markets and industry trends using Companies House, LinkedIn and other reputable online sources.
- A strong communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience in a commercial, sales support, business support or business development role.
- Experience producing reports, analysing data and presenting business insights.
- Experience supporting quotations, tenders or customer proposals would be advantageous.
