Registered Nurse – Functional Assessor (WCA)
Location: London (hybrid working) Salary: £49,934 per annum + £1,000 Year 1 bonus Job type: Full-time, Permanent, Monday to Friday

We're recruiting NMC-registered nurses across London to become Functional Assessors, carrying out Work Capability Assessments (WCA) on behalf of a leading government health assessment contract. You'll draw on your clinical knowledge every day — taking histories, examining, analysing and writing evidence-based reports — while finally getting your evenings and weekends back.
What you'll be doing
- Conducting functional assessments with people claiming health-related benefits, face-to-face and remotely
- Producing clear, concise, evidence-based reports for the Department for Work and Pensions
- Working a structured Monday–Friday daytime week on a hybrid basis, splitting your time between an assessment centre and home

Who we're looking for
- Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD) with active NMC registration
- At least 12 months' post-registration experience — we welcome applications from candidates with a broad base of clinical experience gained with working age adults
- Strong written communication and confident IT skills
- Able to work full-time
