Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Dispatch Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the daily logistics operations within our warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive warehouse experience, and a solid understanding of materials handling, process optimisation, and shipping & receiving procedures. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to efficient supply chain management while ensuring safety and productivity standards are maintained across the team.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily dispatch activities, ensuring timely and accurate shipping and receiving of goods.
- Loading and unloading deliverys
- Manage warehouse operations using Warehouse Management System
- Picking and Packing Goods and seeing to returns.
- Oversee materials handling processes, including utilisation of forklifts and other equipment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Lead a team of warehouse staff providing training, guidance, and performance feedback to optimise productivity.
- Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce errors in dispatch procedures.
- Coordinate with logistics providers for schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to heavy lifting, mechanical maintenance, and general warehouse activities.
- Organise stock rotation, and facilitate accurate shipping & receiving documentation.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues with equipment such as forklifts or conveyor systems as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities and logs
- Strong knowledge of materials handling techniques, process improvement methodologies, and shipping & receiving operations.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management System
- Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment such as forklifts is desirable; forklift certification is advantageous.
- Demonstrated team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative working environment.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks as required.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and inventory control.

Pay: £24,420.00-£26,910.00 per year
