Kitchen Porter – The Ring of Bells

The Ring of Bells is looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our friendly kitchen team.
As one of the newest additions to The Cornish Arms Group, The Ring of Bells is a beautiful village inn set in the heart of Dartmoor. We pride ourselves on exceptional food, genuine hospitality and creating a fantastic place to work. This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional kitchen where teamwork, pride and high standards are at the heart of everything we do.
The Role ~
As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll play a vital role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly. You’ll work alongside our chefs to ensure the kitchen remains clean, organised and ready for service.
Key Responsibilities ~
- Washing pots, pans, crockery and kitchen equipment
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen
- Assisting with deliveries and putting stock away
- Supporting the chefs during busy service periods
- Helping with basic food preparation when required
- Following all food hygiene and health & safety procedures
- General cleaning duties throughout the kitchen
We’re Looking For Someone Who ~
- Has a strong work ethic and a positive attitude
- Works well as part of a team
- Can stay calm and organised in a fast-paced environment
- Is reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work
- Previous kitchen experience is helpful but not essential – full training will be provided
Location ~
The Ring of Bells is situated in the rural village of North Bovey within Dartmoor National Park. Due to our location, public transport is extremely limited, particularly during evenings and weekends. Applicants should therefore have their own reliable transport and be able to commute consistently for early, late and weekend shifts.
