Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team, providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes and within their own homes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need of assistance with daily activities and personal care. We are looking for carers to cover these areas across Surrey Woking, Addlestone, New Haw, Chertsey, Weybridge, Ashford, Shepperton, Sunbury-on-Thames, Staines-upon-Thames, Walton-on-Thames, Esher, Cobham, and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and mobility support
- Support clients in completing daily activities according to individual care plans
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ wellbeing
- Help with domestic tasks including meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in clients’ conditions
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a domiciliary care or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Driving licence is preferred to facilitate client transportation when necessary
- Good organisational skills and the ability to follow detailed care plans accurately
- Proficiency in English, with strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and colleagues
- Basic IT skills for maintaining documentation and updating records
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills and patience
- Ability to work flexibly, including shifts that may include evenings or weekends if required

Pay: £12.75-£16.00 per hour
